Beaumont’s Café first opened its doors in February 2003.  Peter Weir, local Chef to Rutherglen, completed his apprenticeship in January 1983 and since then has gained momentous experience local, interstate and overseas.  Not only did he win awards while attaining his apprenticeship, he was awarded a “honourable mention for craftsmanship” in 1980 and 1982.  In addition to this, he was presented the “Young Commis Chef of the Year” award in 1985 by the Academic Culinary De France in London.  Quite an outstanding achievement.
